We are seeking a highly motivated and pragmatic Industrial, Quality or Materials Engineer to join our technical team at our Ridgefield Park manufacturing facility. This is a hands‑on engineering role for someone who combines strong polymer and materials knowledge with practical manufacturing experience and the confidence to own projects from concept through execution. This is not a passive or purely analytical role. We are looking for an engineer who thinks independently, challenges assumptions, and takes responsibility for delivering results on the production floor. Key Responsibilities Lead development, optimization, and troubleshooting of flexible plastic film production, including PE, PET, OPP, PA, and multilayer laminate structures Optimize extrusion (blown or cast), coating, lamination, printing, sealing, and converting processes Analyze processing conditions (temperature, pressure, dwell time) and their impact on material performance Support equipment trials, new installations, scaleups, and process validations Apply root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to ensure consistent product quality Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Polymer Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field 0-5 years of experience in a manufacturing or technical engineering environment Experience with extrusion, lamination, sealing, or converting technologies preferred Familiarity with polymer processing, material characterization, and mechanical Testing knowledge of food packaging regulations and compliance requirements is a plus. Comfortable working in an on-site, industrial production environment
Pay:
$90,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
