We're looking for a Chief Engineer to take technical ownership within a major structural steel operation

• leading engineering, shaping connection design, solving complex technical challenges, and helping drive projects from engineering through production.

You'll be stepping into a position where your decisions have a direct impact on quality, efficiency, and the successful delivery of major steel projects. ️

THE OPPORTUNITY

As Chief Engineer, you'll become a key technical leader within the business. You'll work closely with detailing, project management, production and quality teams , ensuring engineering decisions translate effectively from calculations and drawings into the shop and ultimately onto the project. You'll also have the opportunity to develop junior engineers and improve engineering processes , giving you genuine influence over how the function operates.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

Lead engineering activities and oversee structural steel connection design Review and approve engineering calculations Work closely with detailing and project management Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues Develop and improve engineering processes Support production and quality teams Mentor and develop junior engineers Provide technical leadership across projects

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We're particularly interested in engineers with: Strong structural steel engineering experience Solid connection design knowledge Experience leading or mentoring engineering teams Strong understanding of AISC standards PE License preferred Bridge experience would be beneficial The confidence to make technical decisions and take ownership
