Job Description

This job will require relocation to Bowling Green, KY area. Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer specializing in adhesives, plastics, and medical device manufacturing to join our innovative team. This role involves developing, optimizing, and maintaining manufacturing processes to ensure high-quality production of medical-grade adhesive and plastic components. The ideal candidate will leverage advanced engineering techniques, including CAD design, robotics integration, and lean manufacturing principles, to enhance process efficiency, safety, and compliance with industry standards such as
ISO 9001.
This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge medical solutions within a dynamic manufacturing environment. Responsibilities Design, develop, and refine manufacturing processes for adhesives and plastics used in medical applications, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Utilize CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Creo to create detailed schematics and process layouts. Program and troubleshoot industrial automation systems including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), robotics, CNC machines, and vision inspection systems. Conduct root cause analysis on process deviations or defects to implement corrective actions that improve yield and quality. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on project scheduling, tooling design, fabrication, and assembly line optimization. Apply lean manufacturing principles to streamline workflows, reduce waste, and enhance productivity. Develop technical documentation including schematics, process flow diagrams, and operational procedures. Perform factory experience assessments to identify opportunities for continuous improvement in manufacturing processes. Oversee industrial equipment setup, calibration, and maintenance to ensure optimal operation. Support new product introductions by designing efficient fabrication methods and tooling solutions. Experience Proven experience in process engineering within a plastics injection molding or adhesives manufacturing environment. Strong mechanical knowledge related to industrial equipment, fabrication techniques, and assembly line operations. Demonstrated expertise in CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Creo) for designing schematics and process layouts. Hands-on experience programming robotics, CNC machines (including CAM programming), PLCs, and vision inspection systems. Familiarity with
ISO 9001
quality management standards and continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing. Knowledge of industrial engineering principles applied in a manufacturing facility setting. Ability to perform root cause analysis effectively using structured problem-solving techniques. Experience working with tooling design, CNC programming (including GD&T), welding, welding schematics, and fabrication processes. Prior factory experience in a regulated environment focused on medical device production is highly desirable. Strong mechanical engineering background complemented by skills in industrial equipment operation and maintenance. This role is integral to advancing our manufacturing capabilities while ensuring the highest standards of quality and efficiency. Pay:
$101,975.33 - $110,000.00 per year
