Job Description

A fast-paced manufacturing facility is seeking a Welding Engineer who can own welding processes on the production floor. This role is highly hands-on, focused on improving weld quality, programming robotic weld cells, and supporting daily production needs. 2nd & 3rd shift Key Responsibilities Develop and refine welding procedures and production standards Program and troubleshoot robotic welding systems and resistance weld equipment Diagnose weld issues involving tooling, controllers, and power supplies Create welding specifications, drawings, and technical documentation Support floor operations with weld setup, parameter development, and quality checks Lead continuous improvement efforts and train technicians on welding best practices Make rework vs. scrap decisions and ensure compliance with weld standards Requirements Degree in Welding/Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent experience Strong knowledge of resistance welding and robotic programming Ability to work primarily on the production floor (standing, bending, troubleshooting) Experience with quality tools such as PFMEA, GD&T, and corrective actions Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and operate standard manufacturing tools
Pay:
$80,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
