As a Weld Engineer , you'll play a key role in developing and improving welding processes that help create high-quality products used every day. This position combines engineering, innovation, and hands-on collaboration on the production floor. You'll work with advanced manufacturing equipment, robotics, automation, and skilled production teams to improve quality, increase efficiency, and bring new ideas to life. Essential Functions:
Develop, implement, and optimize welding processes for production operations. Support the launch of new products and manufacturing projects. Analyze welding procedures and recommend improvements for quality, cost, and efficiency. Collaborate with production, quality, maintenance, and engineering teams to solve technical challenges. Support robotic and automated welding systems. Investigate weld defects and implement corrective actions. Create and maintain welding documentation, specifications, and work instructions. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing principles. Monitor welding performance metrics and identify opportunities for process enhancements. Assist in evaluating new technologies, equipment, and welding methods. Support employee training related to welding procedures and best practices. Ensure compliance with safety standards, customer requirements, and industry regulations.Qualifications:
Required Bachelor's degree in Welding Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. Basic understanding of welding processes such as MIG, TIG, Resistance, or Arc Welding. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to work in both office and manufacturing environments. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications. Preferred Internship, co-op, or manufacturing experience. Experience with robotic welding systems or automation. Knowledge of CAD software and manufacturing processes. AWS (American Welding Society) certification or related welding credentials. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma principles.Direct Reports :

Ability to walk manufacturing floors regularly. Ability to stand for extended periods when supporting production activities. Ability to occasionally lift to 25 pounds. Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).- Ability to visually inspect weld quality and manufacturing processes.
