Job Description 2027 Spring Engineering or Metallurgy Co-op, TIMET Toronto, OH (Paid, with housing stipend) We have opportunities within Materials Engineering and Metallurgical Laboratory functions supporting characterization, testing, and continuous improvement activities. A minimum of a 3-month assignment. Engineering Co-Op Summary Partner with engineers and laboratory personnel to support materials characterization, technical documentation, and laboratory operations. Essential Functions Assist with operation of scanning electron microscopy (SEM) equipment and other laboratory instrumentation. Support metallurgical characterization, testing, and data collection activities. Assist in developing, documenting, and revising laboratory procedures, work instructions, and technical standards. Analyze test results and prepare technical reports to communicate findings and recommendations. Provides support for problem resolution to facilitate faster improvements and improved working relationships. Perform other related duties as assigned. Additional Responsibilities Work with engineers and laboratory personnel to support ongoing materials investigations and development projects. Maintain accurate laboratory records and ensure compliance with safety and quality requirements. Qualifications Competencies Basic knowledge of engineering or materials science principles. Technical writing and documentation skills. Computer and data analysis skills. Education and Experience Enrolled and completed 2+ years accredited university in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related discipline. Special Skills The ability to organize and manage multiple priorities. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Attention to detail and commitment to data quality. Commitment to company values. Computer proficiency in Windows environment and software tools that support job responsibilities.
