Job Description

Works with a variety of departments and customers to evaluate feasibility, identify manufacturing strategy, estimate costs, and create proposals for complete injection molds, production piece pricing, spare tooling, tooling refurbs, prototypes, automation, and engineering changes.
Essential job functions:
Estimate project costs and timing for but not limited to new or transfer molds, prototypes, engineering changes and tool refurbs Review product designs for manufacturability and provide solutions / improvements as applicable Identify manufacturing strategy that optimizes efficiency, quality, and profitability. Complete and evaluate Mold Filling Simulations to be used for cycle time estimates and to identify manufacturing / feasibility issues Create preliminary layouts of tool concept for feasibility, timing, and estimated costs to be based on Act as Engineering lead in customer feasibility reviews of potential projects Attended

meetings Open Quotes in IQMS Complete quote worksheet feasibility review Evaluate part drawings and specifications for customer requirements. Work with outside tooling sources to get tooling quotes. Work with Raw Material suppliers for technical recommendations and expertise on Raw Material selection & processing Review and understand applicable customer specific requirements.
