This position requires hands-on experience in ceramic machining . The ideal candidate will have experience with wire EDM, diamond grinding, CNC milling, CNC programming, tooling, and precision machining , along with strong CAD/CAM skills. You will develop machining processes, design production tooling and fixtures, support prototype and production components, and improve manufacturing methods for high-precision applications. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement in-house ceramic machining processes for precision components. Set up and operate CNC and other precision machining equipment. Design and machine production tooling, fixtures, and prototype components. Perform wire EDM, diamond grinding, and CNC milling of ceramic materials. Review engineering drawings and apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles. Analyze inspection results and resolve machining and quality issues. Develop and improve machining methods, processes, tooling, and manufacturing techniques. Support CNC programming and process optimization. Identify and implement opportunities to reduce machining costs and improve efficiency. Evaluate, procure, install, maintain, and calibrate machine shop equipment. Apply GD&T and precision inspection methods to support quality requirements. Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, and external machine shops on technical and production requirements. Support capacity and scheduling activities with external machining partners. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline. 5+ years of mechanical design and machine shop experience. Hands-on ceramic machining experience is required. Experience with ceramic machining processes, particularly wire EDM, diamond grinding, and CNC milling . Strong understanding of machine shop manufacturing processes and setups. Experience with precision machining and manufacturing equipment. Required Technical Skills SolidWorks, Mastercam, or similar CAD/CAM software CNC programming CNC milling Ceramic machining Wire EDM Diamond grinding GD&T Precision inspection and metrology Tooling and fixture design Preferred Experience Experience operating CNC, conventional lathe, mill, and other precision machine shop equipment. Experience with CMMs, 3D imaging, or other advanced metrology systems. Experience with prototype tooling and finish machining. Experience applying DFM principles to engineering drawings. Experience developing manufacturing processes for specialized or difficult-to-machine materials. Experience supporting high-precision production environments. Why Consider This Opportunity?
