DESCRIPTION
Under general supervision of the City Engineer, the Assistant City Engineer will be responsible for daily activities in management, assessment, and plan review of Capital Improvement Program (CIP) as well as construction inspections. The Assistant City Engineer will coordinate the operations of assigned staff, on identification and design of projects and assist with evaluating the impact of development on existing infrastructure. This position will work closely with the City Engineer, Director of Public Works and Assistant Director of Public Works, in assessing and evaluating engineering design needs for long-range planning.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Mathematics, or other science approved by the Texas Board of Professional Engineers, plus 6 years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess
Basic:
Database, Spreadsheet, Word Processing/Typing skill. Must possess a Professional Engineering License in the State of Texas. Must be familiar with AutoCAD and GIS. Must possess a valid Class C Driver s License at the time of employment. Must pass a pre-employment drug screen, criminal background check and MVR check.
