Job Description Summary:
Teach five (5) courses per regular semester that could include online courses and/or dual-credit/early college classes. Demonstrate skill, knowledge, and abilities in the teaching discipline of all welding processes with a strong emphasis on Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW). Must have knowledge of Blue Prints and Layout and fabrication of Structural and Pipe. Teach assigned courses in a variety of times and locations in response to institutional need. Make continuous efforts to advance the quality of instruction. Develop and use a variety of teaching methods and materials to assist students who have differing educational and experiential backgrounds in meeting the course outcomes. Maintain appropriate professional relationships with students, colleagues and the community.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate in Applied Science in Welding Applied Technology AND five (5) years of documented work experience in the Welding field. As well as five (5) years of welding experience in the
GTAW/SMAW
Pipe and Plate process and five (5) years of welding experience in the
GMAW/FCAW
Pipe and Plate process. •OR•Eight (8) or more years of documented work experience in the Welding field. As well as five (5) years of welding experience in the
GTAW/SMAW
Pipe and Plate process and five (5) years of welding experience in the
GMAW/FCAW
Pipe and Plate process.
Preferred Qualifications:
Three (3) years of Pipe/Vessel Fabrication welding experience.

Successful college teaching experience utilizing instructional technologies, including computers, internet resources and other appropriate media in instruction. Experience teaching college level online courses and/or documented successful training in a college online learning management system (e.g. Blackboard, Canvas). Special Instructions to
