Job Description

Duties:
The Welding Lab Assistant supports the Welding Technology Program by maintaining laboratory equipment, preparing instructional materials, assisting instructors and students, ensuring a safe training environment, and managing inventory of welding consumables and supplies
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED. Minimum one year of welding or metalworking experience. Knowledge of SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, GTAW, oxy-fuel cutting, and plasma cutting processes. Basic knowledge of welding equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. Ability to operate hand and power tools safely. Ability to lift, move, and handle welding materials and equipment
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Welding Technology. Experience working with high school or college students in a laboratory environment. Forklift certification.
