ABOUT THE ROLE
The Technical Manager, Major Projects is primarily responsible for ensuring the technical compliance ofAmrize materials as provided to the client as per project and concrete mix design specification requirements.
This is a highly mobile technical role supporting hyper-scale construction projects — the successful candidate will manage all technical related activities on designated major project sites, including the management of Amrize on-site technical personnel, and the installation of Amrize on-site quality laboratories.
Assignments will include mission critical work such as hyperscale data center construction, where placement volumes, schedule compression, and owner scrutiny and perception are all significantly beyond typical commercial work expectations.
This is a high-mobility position. The role is based out of our facility at Plano, TX but the TM is expected tobe in the field the large majority of the time, moving between assignments as project and project phasesdictate. A company truck will be provided
WHAT YOU'LL ACCOMPLISH
Quality and Specification Compliance
Client Relations and Amrize Project Team Support
Document Control and Submittals
Safety and Laboratory Management
Workforce Management and Development
Partner with project management, operations, and sales to align product performance with contract and specification requirements
Support the management of all documentation generation related to Major Project, including concrete and materials submittals, laboratory test data
Formally execute and approve all concrete mix designs and submittals
Maintain complete, audit-ready project technical documentation
Enforce safety standards within testing laboratories and active field inspection zones
Evaluate compliance for chemical handling, and ensure calibration and preventive maintenance records for all laboratory equipment are complete and current
Demonstrate a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to health, safety andenvironmental policies in all work environments and areas. Promote a culture of safety and exhibit these behaviors.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Education:
Bachelor's degree
Field of Study Preferred:
Engineering required; Civil Engineering preferred. Chemical Engineering,Materials Science, or a closely related technical field will be considered.

Required Work Experience:
3-5 years of progressively responsible experience in ready-mix or concrete materials quality control, including mix design development and field troubleshootingDemonstrated major projects experience — large-scale, schedule-driven work supported by portable ortemporary plant installationsWorking knowledge of ACI 318, and all applicable ASTM concrete and aggregate test methods germane toconcrete and concrete materials.
Demonstrated experience interfacing with owners, engineers of record, third-party inspection agencies, and DOT QA representativesPreferredMission critical project experience, particularly hyperscale data center constructionACI Concrete Field-Testing Technician Grade I, or equivalentAdditional ACI certifications: Strength Testing, Aggregate Testing, Concrete Quality Technical ManagerDirect experience supervising and developing field quality technicians across multiple concurrent sitesProficiency with quality data management and statistical analysis of strength and variability data
Required Training/Certifications:
Engineer in Training (E.I.T.) designation

30%-50%

Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approvedPersonal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Subject to applicable law, employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator sealmeets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
