Job Description

Position Outline Due to the continued growth and expansion of our business, we are seeking qualified candidates for the position of Corrosion Engineer based in our Prairieville, Louisiana office. The Corrosion Engineer will be assigned onsite at client location in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Data collection
- from design specification, process, inspection, and historical files for pressure vessels, piping or storage tanks. Corrosion research
- Perform corrosion research work, including internal / external corrosion rate, corrosion mechanism, environmental cracks and other damage mechanism evaluation and setting. Corrosion Control Documents (CCD) Development and Maintenance
- Develop and maintain a CCD. Evaluation of damage mechanism for inspection and maintenance audit
- Perform damage mechanism assessment for inspection, maintenance and audit operations. RBI assessment
- Besides identification of damage mechanisms, participate in systemization for Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and circuitization for Process and Instrument Diagrams (P&IDs). Leakage and VOC escape cause / root cause analysis of damage mechanism research and improvement suggestions
- Perform cause/root cause analysis of damage mechanism research and improvement suggestions. Review and audit of PSM operations and corrosion issues
- Participate in the review and review of PSM operations and corrosion issues, such as management of change (MOC), process hazard analysis (PHA), accident investigation, etc. Process corrosion problem analysis and improvement suggestions
- Analyze and improve suggestions for corrosion/crack problems in the plant.
