JOB DESCRIPTION
Travel up to 40% of the time will be required. Travel to Michigan and Colorado Springs 2-3 day.
Responsibilities:
Design/assist in design of weld fixtures. Establish weld process parameters for equipment. Coordinate or assist in weld fixture validation and finished part gauge verification. Design, implement, and document control systems for various types of automated equipment. Conduct the electrical/hydraulic pneumatic design, peripheral device programming, machine PLC programming, coordinate the machine debug, power-up, and machine validation with the appropriate build and electrical teams. Ensure that equipment is designed and programmed to project and build specifications using standard engineering techniques and established processes.
Requirements:
Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, schematics, and diagrams. Proficiency with welding codes and standards (e.g., AWS
D1.1 / D1.2 /D1.3/ D1.6, B2.1/ASME
