A Welding Engineer develops welding techniques and equipment for use in metal fabrication and product manufacturing. Researches welding techniques and engineers welding equipment and processes.
Serve as the lead for fabrication and welding supplier quality across supplier base. • Lead supplier technical evaluation to ensure compliance with
ASME, AWS, ISO
9001, and Client's requirements. Conduct supplier audits and on-site assessments of manufacturing processes, quality systems, and fabrication capabilities. Review and approve critical supplier documentation, including engineering drawings, MTRs, WPS, PQR, WPQR, PPAPs, weld maps, and NDT reports. Verify material traceability, dimensional accuracy, and non-destructive testing (NDT) compliance. Perform receiving inspections on all structural steel components.
Requirements:
Must Have AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) Proficiency with welding codes and standards (e.g., AWS
D1.1 / D1.2 /D1.3/ D1.6, B2.1/ASME
Section IX). Strong working knowledge of welding processes: FCAW, GMAW, and GTAW . Working knowledge of NDT methods (UT, RT, MT, PT, VT) and weld inspection criteria

Educational Requirements:
