This position will work on first shift. Individual must work closely and effectively with engineering, sales, and operations to achieve Waukesha Foundry's overall objective of on-time quality parts manufactured safely and profitably.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The primary Responsibilities include:- Project management responsibilities: Help verify casting designs from customers, design pattern equipment for new orders, design and interpret solidification simulations results, and follow orders through the shop to ensure proper and efficient processing.
- Technical Review of purchase orders to ensure shop processing instructions meet customer requirements.
- Develop detailed process instructions for legacy jobs.
- Communicate process instructions clearly to the shop floor and help with any issues.
- Work with customers and outside vendors as needed.
- Estimating processing requirements for castings being quoted to assist sales.
- Analysis of casting/scrap defects to assist with corrective actions and process improvements.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, or a related field
- Prior experience preferred
- Experience with CAD/CAM software and basic understanding of GD&T
- Solidification simulation experience
- Industrial blueprint reading skills
