NWA Steel dba Alternative Design Manufacturing , a growing metal fabrication company located in Siloam Springs, AR, is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team! Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Mechanical Design Engineer to join our engineering team. The specific position plays a key role in fulfilling various duties and responsibilities. You will work closely with the engineering manager to create a comprehensive action plan concerning each project's design, resources, material, and timeframes. In this role, you will perform product design duties in planning and designing fabricated equipment, machines, and tooling. You will create drawings for use by production. Work with customers, vendors, and co-workers in various departments to deliver well-designed products on time. Oversee manufacturing, operation, maintenance, and repair of such equipment. Your expertise will drive the creation of detailed mechanical designs, ensuring functionality. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to complex projects utilizing your technical skills and collaborative spirit to deliver high-quality solutions.

Skills & Abilities Education :

Bachelor's degree (four-year college) in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline. Knowledge of basic electrical concepts in strongly preferred.

Experience:

Hands-on experience with fabrication equipment and general tools is preferred. Experience with electrical wiring and troubleshooting is preferred.

Computer Skills:

3+ years' experience with any 3D modeling (CAD) software, Solid Edge preferred. Sheet metal experience is strongly preferred. Experience with AutoCAD or similar 2D drafting software. Experience with ERP/workflow management software. $71,115.00 - $85,650.00 per year
