Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support multiple NPI and CPI programs through complete design and development of mechanical light-fabrication systems.
  • Perform packaging and integration activities with various vehicle sub-systems.
  • Contribute to the design and development of light-fabricated components, including sheet-metal parts and castings.
  • Develop and maintain 2D and 3D CAD models to support design, prototype, and production phases.
  • Support DfX, FMEA, and DVP&R activities throughout all development phases.
  • Support engineering change management processes, including documentation control and release workflows.
  • Apply and follow CAT standards, engineering guidelines, and best practices in all design work.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment by collaborating with manufacturing, quality, CAE/testing teams, suppliers, and other engineering groups.
Show Less Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience:
  • 4+ years of experience in mechanical engineering and design development in Heavy equipment products
  • Experience supporting NPI and/or CPI engineering programs.
  • Hands-on experience designing sheet-metal, welded, and light-fabricated components.
  • Experience with vehicle-level system packaging and integration.
  • Proficiency in 2D/3D CAD modeling tools ( Creo and Team center).
  • Experience with DfX, FMEA, and DVP&R processes and
  • Familiarity with engineering documentation control and change management systems.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and suppliers.
Qualification:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical design fundamentals, GD&T, and manufacturing processes.
  • Knowledge of light-fabrication processes such as sheet-metal forming, casting, and welding.
  • Knowledge of CAT standards, industry guidelines, and design best practices (preferred).
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
