Position Overview We're seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our core engineering team, supporting the design, development, and testing of hardware critical to our kinetic launch technology. You'll work across high-pressure gas systems, thermal protection systems, and structures, building and refining the hardware that powers our launch and vehicle platforms. This is a hands-on role with real growth potential on both technical and leadership tracks. You'll work closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams spanning mechanical, electrical, fluids, and aerospace engineering, gaining exposure across the full system rather than a single narrow slice.

Onsite in Alameda, CA Key Responsibilities Assist in the design, testing, and integration of all systems for the accelerator and vehicle. Contribute to design, manufacture, and test for key subsystems. Participate in the assembly, testing, and troubleshooting hardware in lab and field environments. Support development and debugging of embedded firmware within our data acquisition systems Create and maintain technical documentation for electronic and firmware systems. Collaborate with senior engineers to ensure electrical systems meet performance and reliability goals. Support integration of electrical systems with mechanical, fluids, and software components. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Systems Engineering preferred. 0-2 years experience in a hands-on test, design, manufacturing or R D setting. Experience with high-pressure gas/fluid systems in excess of 500 psi in large volumes. Exposure to hydrogen safety, rocket test, or propulsion lab environments a bonus. Strong organizational and executional skills, including documentation and planning. Passion for learning, problem solving, and working as part of a fast-moving team.
