Job Description

We are looking for a hands-on Mechanical Engineer who can design, build, test, and improve prototype systems. The role involves working on mechanical hardware, fluid systems, test setups, and thermal systems for electrochemical cooling products. You will work closely with engineers and scientists to rapidly develop and test new hardware. Key Responsibilities Design and develop prototype and pilot-scale cooling systems. Create CAD models, engineering drawings, and mechanical assemblies. Build and test fluid systems using pumps, valves, tubing, sensors, and fittings. Design heat exchangers and thermal-fluid components. Develop experimental test rigs with sensors, controls, and data logging. Troubleshoot leaks, failures, and mechanical issues. Support electrochemical stack and hardware manufacturing processes. Work with chemists and engineers on custom lab equipment and testing tools. Required Skills & Experience Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. 5+ years of hands-on engineering experience. Strong CAD and mechanical design skills. Experience with rapid prototyping and fabrication methods. Knowledge of fluid systems, pumps, valves, tubing, and pressure systems. Comfortable using machine shop tools and modifying hardware. Basic electronics and automation knowledge (sensors, controllers, microcontrollers). Ability to analyze engineering problems related to fluids, heat transfer, and mechanics. Basic programming/scripting skills (Python, MATLAB, etc.) for testing and data analysis.
Preferred Qualifications Experience with:
Electrochemical systems Batteries, fuel cells, HVAC, or thermal systems Heat exchangers and dehumidification systems DAQ systems, Lab
VIEW, CNC
machining, welding, 3D printing Master's or PhD degree is a plus.
