Type:
full-time A rapidly growing organization in the aerospace component manufacturing industry is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to design, validate, and support the production of electro-mechanical products for aerospace applications. This role offers the opportunity to work on products from concept through production while collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams in a highly regulated manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilitie sDesign and develop electro-mechanical products from concept through qualification, validation, and production release .Perform mechanical design, material selection, FEA, tolerance stack-up, strength and fatigue analysis, and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) to ensure product performance and reliability .Create engineering documentation including 3D models, drawings, work instructions, test plans, DFMEA/PFMEA, FMECA, APQP, PPAP, and qualification documentation while ensuring compliance with aerospace standards .Partner with electrical engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and customers to support prototype builds, production readiness, root cause investigations, and continuous improvement initiatives . Qualificatio nsBachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering with 1 year of mechanical design experience in aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated manufacturing environment s.
Experience with SolidWorks, GD&T, FEA, engineering drawings, materials selection, and electromechanical product desig n.
Knowledge of AS9100 and aerospace standards such as DO-160, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, and
APQP/PPAP
methodologies is highly preferre d.
Strong communication skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced engineering and manufacturing environment. Experience with pressure, temperature, or other sensing technologies is a plu s.
