A leading global healthcare organization is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to support the design and development of next-generation sequencing systems. This role focuses on building highly integrated, end-to-end instrumentation solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop mechanical subsystems including electro-mechanical, pneumatic, thermal, and fluidic components Collaborate cross-functionally with electrical, materials, and systems teams Develop mechanisms for automated loading, clamping, and sealing Design and implement thermal control systems Support system integration, testing, and troubleshooting Create detailed CAD models, drawings, and documentation Drive design reviews and technical decision-making

Required Qualifications:

Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Bioengineering, or related field with relevant industry experience Hands-on experience with complex mechanical and electro-mechanical systems Experience with thermal systems and fluidics Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar CAD tools Experience with prototyping and testing Familiarity with Python, LabVIEW, or similar tools

Preferred:

Experience with life science or diagnostic instrumentation Exposure to NGS or genomics systems Experience in regulated environments (FDA, GMP) Simulation tools (CFD, FEA)
