Full Job Description Job Summary:
Precision Measurement Engineering is seeking a detail-oriented Electro-Mechanical Engineering Technician to support our manufacturing, assembly, and product validation operations. In this role, you will bridge the gap between production and engineering by building complex assemblies, performing quality inspections, and troubleshooting technical systems. The ideal candidate brings strong PCB soldering skills, a meticulous approach to documentation, and a collaborative mindset to drive product reliability.
Core Responsibilities:
  • Assembly & Fabrication:
    Build, wire, and integrate electrical, mechanical, plastic, and metal components. Perform precision through-hole and wire soldering, stripping, and tinning to assemble controllers, motor units, and small electrical devices.
  • Inspection & Quality Control:
    Conduct rigorous inspection of incoming parts, raw materials, and mid-production assemblies to maintain strict quality standards throughout the manufacturing lifecycle.
  • Testing & Troubleshooting:
    Execute functional product testing, diagnostic calibrations, and component troubleshooting. Assist with full system integration and analyze builds to improve product reliability.
  • Engineering Support:
    Assist engineering teams with Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and prototyping. Actively update, refine, and improve testing procedures and assembly manufacturing documentation.
Technical Support:
Utilize troubleshooting skills to diagnose technical issues and provide clear, customer-focused technical support when required.
Required Qualifications:
  • Technical Skills:
    Proven experience with through-hole PCB soldering, wire soldering, tinning, and utilizing standard hand tools or light machinery.
  • Documentation:
    Ability to accurately read, interpret, and follow complex technical schematics, assembly instructions, and engineering specification sheets.
  • Technical Aptitude:
    A strong foundational understanding of electronics, electrical components, and basic diagnostic testing equipment.
  • Soft Skills:
    Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, strong attention to detail, and a verified track record of working effectively both independently and within team environments.
Computer Literacy:
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Gmail, and basic data entry systems.
Preferred Experience:
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in a manufacturing, mechanical assembly, or hardware QA environment.
  • Prior experience supporting technical products, scientific instrumentation, or aerospace/medical device manufacturing.
Pay:
$25.00
