Job Description

Akkodis is seeking a Test Engineer III for a Contract with a client in Cupertino, CA. The ideal candidate is responsible for executing and tracking electrical and thermal battery testing across cell, pack, and system levels while developing data tools, dashboards, and automation solutions.
Rate Range:
$62/hour to $67/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Test Engineer III Job Responsibilities include: Execute and monitor electrical and thermal battery testing at the cell, pack, and system levels using battery cycling and test equipment such as Maccor, Arbin, and Gamry. Develop, maintain, and automate data processing workflows using Python, MATLAB, and SQL to improve test efficiency and data quality. Analyze large-scale battery performance and time-series datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and actionable insights. Design and build dashboards, reports, and visualization tools to communicate test results and key performance metrics to engineering teams. Manage data acquisition systems, sensor measurements, and test instrumentation to ensure accurate and reliable test execution. Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to validate battery performance, optimize testing methodologies, and support product development initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Data Engineering, or a related engineering discipline (MS preferred). 5+ years of relevant experience with a BS degree or 3+ years with an MS degree in battery testing, validation, data engineering, or related fields. Hands-on experience with battery cycling and electrochemical test equipment such as Maccor, Arbin, Gamry, or similar systems, including data acquisition and sensor instrumentation. Strong proficiency in Python, MATLAB, and SQL, with experience analyzing large-scale time-series datasets and developing automation, dashboards, and data visualization tools. Pay Details:
