Job Description
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Apply statistical methods and perform mathematical calculations to determine inefficiencies in manufacturing processes
- Formulate sampling procedures, and designs and develop forms and instructions for recording, evaluating and reporting quality and reliability data
- Study and record time, motion, methods and speed to improve efficiency and establish a standard production rate in performance of maintenance, production and other worker operations
- Identify and quantify inefficiencies/repetitive problems on manufacturing equipment and utilize statistical methods to present and support recommendations to increase productivity
- Gather and analyze manufacturing downtime and scrap data
- Develop continuous improvement plan to maximize efficiency, product yield and consistency of quality
- Prepare detailed standard operating procedures for various production or operational processes as well as repair and preventative maintenance of equipment and to verify procedures are followed
- Training of personnel on standard operating procedures
- Analyze the effectiveness of preventive maintenance program and make recommendations for improvement
- Work very closely with maintenance, production, and engineering teams
- Develop labor utilization standards to promote efficient staffing
- Recommend methods for improving utilization of personnel and materials
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- BS in Industrial Engineering / Manufacturing Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
- Team player; strong communicator
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma is a plus
- Self motivated, able to work independently
- Results Oriented in an ever changing environment
- Strong Written and Verbal Communication Skills
Basic Computer Skills:
MS Office- Ability to read and draw SolidWorks drawings
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position will spend approximately 95% of the time in a manufacturing plant environment. During time spent in the manufacturing plant, this position is subject to moderate noise levels, very light dust, high and low temperatures and other standard elements of a manufacturing environment.Pay:
$75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per yearBenefits:
