Job Description

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Apply statistical methods and perform mathematical calculations to determine inefficiencies in manufacturing processes
  • Formulate sampling procedures, and designs and develop forms and instructions for recording, evaluating and reporting quality and reliability data
  • Study and record time, motion, methods and speed to improve efficiency and establish a standard production rate in performance of maintenance, production and other worker operations
  • Identify and quantify inefficiencies/repetitive problems on manufacturing equipment and utilize statistical methods to present and support recommendations to increase productivity
  • Gather and analyze manufacturing downtime and scrap data
  • Develop continuous improvement plan to maximize efficiency, product yield and consistency of quality
  • Prepare detailed standard operating procedures for various production or operational processes as well as repair and preventative maintenance of equipment and to verify procedures are followed
  • Training of personnel on standard operating procedures
  • Analyze the effectiveness of preventive maintenance program and make recommendations for improvement
  • Work very closely with maintenance, production, and engineering teams
  • Develop labor utilization standards to promote efficient staffing
  • Recommend methods for improving utilization of personnel and materials
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
  • BS in Industrial Engineering / Manufacturing Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
  • Team player; strong communicator
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma is a plus
  • Self motivated, able to work independently
  • Results Oriented in an ever changing environment
  • Strong Written and Verbal Communication Skills
Basic Computer Skills:
MS Office
  • Ability to read and draw SolidWorks drawings
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position will spend approximately 95% of the time in a manufacturing plant environment. During time spent in the manufacturing plant, this position is subject to moderate noise levels, very light dust, high and low temperatures and other standard elements of a manufacturing environment.
Pay:
$75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
