Apply statistical methods and perform mathematical calculations to determine inefficiencies in manufacturing processes
Formulate sampling procedures, and designs and develop forms and instructions for recording, evaluating and reporting quality and reliability data
Study and record time, motion, methods and speed to improve efficiency and establish a standard production rate in performance of maintenance, production and other worker operations
Identify and quantify inefficiencies/repetitive problems on manufacturing equipment and utilize statistical methods to present and support recommendations to increase productivity
Gather and analyze manufacturing downtime and scrap data
Develop continuous improvement plan to maximize efficiency, product yield and consistency of quality
Prepare detailed standard operating procedures for various production or operational processes as well as repair and preventative maintenance of equipment and to verify procedures are followed
Training of personnel on standard operating procedures
Analyze the effectiveness of preventive maintenance program and make recommendations for improvement
Work very closely with maintenance, production, and engineering teams
Develop labor utilization standards to promote efficient staffing
Recommend methods for improving utilization of personnel and materials
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
BS in Industrial Engineering / Manufacturing Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
Team player; strong communicator
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing / Six Sigma is a plus
Self motivated, able to work independently
Results Oriented in an ever changing environment
Strong Written and Verbal Communication Skills
Basic Computer Skills:
MS Office
Ability to read and draw SolidWorks drawings
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position will spend approximately 95% of the time in a manufacturing plant environment. During time spent in the manufacturing plant, this position is subject to moderate noise levels, very light dust, high and low temperatures and other standard elements of a manufacturing environment.
Pay:
$75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
