- Test & Evaluation Engineer
- , you will serve as a technical leader responsible for advancing testing capabilities, improving evaluation methodologies, and developing innovative solutions that support critical aerospace programs.
Your expertise will help ensure products meet the highest standards of performance, safety, and reliability while contributing to the development of next-generation aviation technologies. This role offers the opportunity to influence engineering strategy, mentor technical teams, and drive innovation across complex development and testing initiatives.
- What You'll Do
- As a key engineering leader, you will: + Lead the development and implementation of advanced test methods, procedures, and evaluation processes.
+ Apply emerging technologies to enhance and optimize testing capabilities.
+ Develop innovative test solutions and metrology design techniques to support product development and validation.
+ Create and improve testing methodologies that increase efficiency, accuracy, and reliability.
+ Prepare research and development (R D) proposals and present recommendations to internal leadership and external stakeholders.
+ Write invention disclosures to protect intellectual property and support innovation initiatives.
+ Review critical test procedures, identify risks, and implement effective solutions.
+ Oversee the integration of new design and manufacturing technologies into test systems and hardware.
+ Analyze existing processes and recommend improvements that drive operational excellence.
+ Establish standards and policies for post-test activities and evaluation processes.
+ Resolve complex testing challenges and oversee special test procedures.
+ Collaborate with enterprise engineering and testing teams to standardize evaluation practices across programs.
+ Define expectations for test data on new, complex, or unique testing efforts.
+ Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and coaching to engineers and team members.
+ Work independently under consultative direction while influencing strategic engineering decisions.
- Required Qualifications
- + Bachelor's degree with
- 14+ years of related experience
- , OR + Master's degree with
- 12+ years of related experience
- , OR + Ph.D. with
- 9+ years of related experience
- . + Degree must be in one of the following disciplines: + Engineering + Computer Science + Mathematics + Physics + Chemistry + Demonstrated experience leading advanced testing, evaluation, validation, or systems engineering initiatives. + Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical leadership capabilities. + Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
- Preferred Qualifications
- + Experience developing innovative test methodologies and evaluation processes.
+ Aerospace, aviation, defense, or highly regulated industry experience.
+ Knowledge of advanced metrology, test system design, and manufacturing integration.
+ Experience preparing and presenting technical proposals and research initiatives.
+ Proven success driving process improvements and implementing emerging technologies.
+ Intellectual property development or invention disclosure experience.
+ Strong mentoring, coaching, and technical leadership abilities.
+ Experience working across cross-functional engineering organizations.
