Test Engineering Technician Otto Instrument Service, Inc. Fabrication of test equipment as needed. Understand the purpose and operation of various pieces of general-purpose test equipment. Evaluate and provide estimates for the development and purchase of new test equipment required to support new repair efforts as directed by Supervisor.
Essential Skills:
Assists in the Maintenance/Repair and Calibration of test equipment required for testing and evaluating customer product. Build Test Equipment to support the production floor as directed by supervisor. Understanding and complying with Federal Aviation Administration Regulations and European Aviation Safety Regulations relating to Certified Repair Stations. Understanding the operation of the company's computer system and its software. Understanding and complying with common acceptable business practices for production and quality. Understanding and complying with all company policies and procedures specifically those regarding production
  • PMEL/Metrology experience is a strong plus.
  • Understanding of software used in test and evaluation a plus.
  • Flexibility to move from one task to another based upon the needs of production.
  • Adaptability, able to draw on experience to take on new tasks and equipment that may not have been encountered before.
Computer Skills:
  • Proficiency in Windows and MS Office applications required.
Basic working knowledge of legacy versions of MS Windows a plus Military education and experience in an aviation or PMEL related field a strong plus. We are an Equal Opportunity Employer including individuals with Disabilities/ Protected Veterans.
