Job Description
Header Overview Join our innovative engineering team as a Mechanical Engineer/Designer, where you will play a vital role in developing cutting-edge mechanical products and systems. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the entire product lifecycle—from conceptual design and detailed drafting to manufacturing support and optimization. You will utilize advanced CAD tools, perform rigorous analysis, and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to bring innovative ideas to life. If you thrive in a dynamic environment that values creativity, precision, and technical excellence, this role is perfect for you! Responsibilities Develop detailed mechanical designs and schematics using CAD software such as SolidWorks and Creo, ensuring accuracy and manufacturability. Create 3D models for product development, incorporating tolerance analysis and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards to ensure precision. Perform mechanical drafting and produce mechanical detail drawings aligned with ASME codes & standards for manufacturing and assembly processes. Conduct mechanical analysis including FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and tolerance stack-up assessments to validate design integrity under operational conditions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams on engineering product development projects, including electrical engineers working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), LabVIEW, MATLAB, Simulink, Arduino, and quantum engineering components. Support manufacturing by developing schematics, building information modeling (BIM) tools, and providing technical guidance during production runs. Engage in root cause analysis for mechanical failures or performance issues, implementing corrective actions to improve product reliability. Manage project schedules effectively through project management principles, ensuring timely delivery of design milestones. Experience Proven experience practicing in an industrial or manufacturing engineering role with a focus on mechanical product development. Strong background in mechanical design engineering with expertise in machine design, mechanical detail drawings, and mechanical drafting. Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, Creo, and other 3D CAD modeling tools for product design purposes. Familiarity with FEA tools for structural analysis and simulation of mechanical components under various loads. Knowledge of manufacturing processes, tolerances, ASME codes & standards, and GD&T practices to ensure high-quality production outputs. Experience working on complex mechanical engineering projects involving schematics, mechanical drawings, and building information modeling (BIM) tools is highly desirable. Ability to communicate effectively across teams to facilitate cross-functional collaboration on engineering projects involving electronics like PLCs or embedded systems such as Arduino or MATLAB-based controls. Join us to be part of a forward-thinking team dedicated to pushing the boundaries of mechanical engineering innovation!
