This is a highly hands-on role working closely with R D engineers to turn early concepts into functional prototypes. The ideal candidate has experience in medical device assembly, catheter or lead fabrication, prototype builds, bench testing, cleanroom work, and regulated documentation. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in the lab, solving technical problems, and contributing directly to early-stage product development. What You'll Do Build and test prototype catheter/lead assemblies and related subassemblies Support fabrication of shaft assemblies, electrode/sensor components, fixtures, and early-stage device prototypes Perform product characterization and bench testing to evaluate design performance Assist with test method development, equipment setup, data collection, and documentation Operate and maintain lab/prototype equipment, which may include reflow systems, hot-air tipping equipment, pull testers, laser markers, and other R D lab tools Support design verification and validation activities, including tensile/pull strength, torque, kink, burst, fatigue, dimensional, and electrical-continuity testing Troubleshoot prototype failures and communicate findings to engineering Maintain organized lab records and support documentation for regulated medical device development Work in accordance with GMP/cGMP, ISO 13485, and FDA quality system expectations What We're Looking For Hands-on experience in medical device R D, manufacturing, NPI, test, quality, or process development Experience with catheter, lead, guidewire, or other small-device assemblies strongly preferred Cleanroom or GMP/cGMP experience preferred Familiarity with test methods, fixtures, inspection, troubleshooting, and documentation Comfortable working with engineers in a fast-paced, hands-on development environment Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures while also thinking critically Positive, flexible, team-oriented, and eager to learn Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel Helpful Experience Experience with any of the following is a plus: Catheter or lead assembly Reflow, tipping, heat shrink, bonding, crimping, soldering, or electrode assembly Pull/tensile testing, torque testing, dimensional inspection, fatigue testing, or electrical continuity testing Prototype builds or feasibility testing Test fixture development
DHF, DHR, GDP, GMP, ISO
13485, or 21 CFR 820 documentation Why This Role This is an opportunity to join a small, highly technical team developing innovative cardiac medical device technology. The person in this role will have meaningful hands-on impact, helping engineers build, test, troubleshoot, and improve early product designs in a regulated R D environment. The company is looking for someone who enjoys being close to the product, working in the lab, and helping move concepts from prototype toward clinical and commercial readiness.
Pay:
$30.00 - $40.00 per hour
