Job Description
Job Description Day-to-Day Summary of Role:
- Participate on a project with a MDVT team of engineers involved in mechanical validation test.
- Work under the direction of a senior MDVT engineer
- Carry out testing Shock, Vibration, Drop and Thermal
- Support test engineering development and troubleshooting activities.
- Setup large network equipmkent test beds. (Ability to lift 25 lbs)

https://insightglobal.com/workforce-privacy-policy/. Skills and Requirements- Knowledge and understanding of Mechanical and Environmental stress testing methods (Mechanical Shock and Vibration, Drop, Temperature, Humidity, Altitude);
- Knowledge of fundamental hardware systems and devices - PCB, heatsink, mounting bracket, optical modules;
- Understand mechanical design;
- Good mechanical aptitude. Can use hand tools and power tools to build/modify test bed;
- Comfortable in a Unix/Linux environment
- Knowledge of IEC, ETSI, and MIL-STD standard;
- Knowledge of test equipment like environmental chambers, shakers, etc;
- Understand test infrastructure architecture and design;
- Have basic knowledge regarding Cisco router/switch configurations, networking concepts
TCP/IP, L2/L3
switching;- Experience in failure analysis and troubleshooting skills in a lab environment
- Experience in test planning, validation, finding failures and driving issues to resolution with cross functional teams
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to document test results/data into a concise test report in a complete manner
- Scripting knowledge
