Proficient in Sheet Metal Design, including design optimization for manufacturability. Skilled in 3D concept development and creation of detailed 2D manufacturing drawings. Good understanding of manufacturing processes such as sheet metal fabrication, welding, and machining. Experience in Bill of Materials (BOM) preparation, manufacturing drawings, and engineering drawing standards. Hands-on experience with Windchill or similar Product Data Management (PDM) tools. Sound knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), tolerance stack-up analysis, and manufacturing processes. Experience with Engineering Change Order (ECO/ECR) processes and mechanical hardware/component selection. Strong problem-solving, coordination, and technical decision-making abilities. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and team-handling skills with the ability to lead and mentor engineers. Demonstrates the capability to mentor junior engineers on drawing standards and effectively review deliverables to ensure high-quality, defect-free project execution.
