Engineering Test Technician- Prototype/R D Direct Hire position $95-115K Salary + Equity Torrance, CA Job Description Join our team to support the build, integration, testing, and validation of next-generation energy hardware. Collaborate with Product Development engineers to construct prototype electromechanical systems, perform high-quality wiring and assembly work, support development testing, troubleshoot hardware issues, and provide critical feedback to enhance future product designs. Responsibilities Build prototype electromechanical systems with precision. Perform high-quality wiring and assembly work. Support development testing and troubleshoot hardware issues. Provide feedback to improve future product designs. Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings independently. Utilize engineering test equipment and instrumentation effectively. Ensure compliance with high-voltage safety practices and LOTO procedures. Conduct root cause analysis and nonconformance reporting. Essential Skills 5+ years of hands-on experience as an Engineering Technician or similar role. Proficiency in electromechanical assembly and electrical wiring. Experience building precision hardware to print in industries such as energy storage or automotive. Ability to interpret GD&T, BOMs, and work instructions. Hands-on experience with precision assembly including harnessing and fasteners. Experience with DAQ systems, oscilloscopes, sensors, and power analyzers. Knowledge of ESD requirements and high-voltage safety practices. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience operating within AS9100 or IATF quality systems. Familiarity with FAI, traceability programs, and nonconformance documentation.
