Manufacturing / Machinery Production Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Heavy Machinery Mechanical Engineer to support the design, assembly, troubleshooting, maintenance, and improvement of heavy machinery and industrial equipment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on mechanical engineering experience with machinery such as Syncro Machines, United Machines, VS1 equipment, or similar industrial machinery. This position requires strong mechanical troubleshooting skills, the ability to read engineering drawings, and experience working directly with manufacturing and production equipment. Key Responsibilities Build and assemble machines or mechanical components according to requirements. Inspect machines, engines, transitions etc. and run diagnostic test to discover functionality issues. Conduct repairs aiming for maximum reliability Design, modify, and improve mechanical components and heavy machinery systems. Troubleshoot mechanical problems involving machinery, equipment, drives, bearings, shafts, gears, hydraulics, and related components. Work with Syncro Machines, United Machines, VS1, and similar industrial machinery. Read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation. Assist with machine installation, setup, alignment, testing, and commissioning. Identify equipment failures and determine appropriate repair or modification solutions. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment. Work closely with machinists, mechanics, welders, technicians, and production personnel. Recommend improvements to increase machine reliability, productivity, safety, and efficiency. Assist with fabrication and modification of machine components. Use CAD software and engineering tools when required. Maintain accurate documentation of repairs, modifications, measurements, and machine specifications. Undertake other duties as assigned (e.g. repair of hydraulic systems, machine trouble shooting and repair) Follow company safety procedures and applicable manufacturing standards. Keep logs of work and report issues. Required Experience & Qualifications 3+ years of mechanical engineering, machinery, or industrial equipment experience preferred. Excellent knowledge of machinery and hydraulic, electrical and other systems and their components Aptitude in using various hand tools (screwdrivers, hammers etc.) and precision measurement tools (e.g. calipers) Ability to follow established procedures and practices and read instruction, blueprints etc. A strong commitment to all health and safety guidelines Very good communication skills A problem-solving ability Very good physical strength and stamina High school diploma is preferred; Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is a definite plus Valid certification is preferred Hands-on experience with heavy machinery or industrial manufacturing equipment. Experience with Syncro, United Machines, VS1, or comparable machinery is highly desirable. Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to read mechanical drawings and schematics. Knowledge of machining, fabrication, welding, hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, gears, and mechanical power transmission. Ability to use precision measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges. Ability to work independently and as part of a production/engineering team. Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety. Preferred Experience Experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment. Experience with machine rebuilds, retrofits, and mechanical modifications. Experience diagnosing mechanical failures and performing root-cause analysis. Knowledge of CNC and conventional machinery. Experience with equipment installation, alignment, and commissioning. Engineering degree or technical degree is preferred but equivalent hands-on experience may be considered. Compensation $25.00-$30.00 per hour DOE (Depending on Experience). Pay will be determined based on mechanical engineering experience, heavy machinery experience, technical skills, and familiarity with Syncro Machines, United Machines, VS1, and related equipment.
