Job:
Research, design, develop, test, certify, deploy and improve cutting-edge aerospace and defense products, from advanced mission payloads and electronic systems to highly integrated aircraft and space systems. You will conceptualize and deliver complex mechanical structures and systems across the full product lifecycle. 12-month contract, 40 hours per week, onsite in Englewood. Key Responsibilities Design and develop complex mechanical structures, systems and processes across the product lifecycle. Work within multi-disciplinary design and development teams. Apply GD&T per ASME Y14.5 and support analysis/simulation of designs. Select materials and hardware and support manufacturing and production processes. Required Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline and typically 6+ years of relevant experience. Practical knowledge of engineering principles and practices. Experience with Computer Aided Engineering (CAD/CAE) tools. Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams. Ability to obtain a security clearance (processing not required immediately). Preferred Qualifications Applying and interpreting GD&T per
ASME Y14.5.
Engineering simulation: FEA structural analysis, CFD and thermal analysis. Aerospace and defense industry background. Parametric design, model-based definition, material/hardware selection, manufacturing and production processes.
