The Role We're looking for a mid- to senior-level Electronics Design Engineer with strong experience in power electronics, including high-voltage systems up to 1000V. This role is suited to someone who can take ownership of detailed design work, driving technical execution while contributing to overall product success. An Ingenuity Design Engineer is responsible for the full product development life cycle. They are to take an innovative approach to develop concepts, undertake detailed product design, and then bring products to life through low and high-volume production runs. As a new member of the team you will get any technical training to help you develop your skills and guidance on commercial product development, with mentoring from other senior designers. This role also involves supporting broader team capability through design reviews and technical guidance, ensuring robust, manufacturable outcomes.

The role involves:

Develop electronic products and subsystems from concept through production release. Own schematics, component selection, calculations, PCB layout, and technical documentation. Design analog, digital, low-power, RF, and embedded-hardware circuits as required. Design and review PCBs in Altium, with attention to electrical performance, signal integrity, EMI/EMC, DFM, and DFT. Collaborate with systems, embedded software, mechanical, and industrial design teams to define and verify product interfaces. Bring up, test, debug, and improve hardware prototypes. Plan and perform functional, electrical, environmental, and pre-compliance verification, as applicable. Support product compliance and work with external test laboratories, as applicable. Prepare clear specifications, test plans, reports, BOMs, and manufacturing-release documentation. Participate in design reviews and provide technical support to customers and teammates. Support technical estimating, risk identification, and design trade-off decisions during project development. Minimum Criteria In order to be considered for the role, applicants are required to meet the following minimum criteria: Must be authorized to permanently work in the United States Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience. 3+ years of professional electronics product-development experience. Experience designing electronic products from concept through prototype, verification, and production. Strong analog and digital circuit-design skills. Proficiency with schematic capture and PCB layout in Altium or a similar tool. Strong hands-on hardware bring-up, testing, and troubleshooting capability. Clear written and verbal communication skills; able to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team. Favorable Criteria Applicants who meet the following criteria will be considered favorably: Experience with RF, wireless, low-power, embedded, sensor, actuator, or battery powered products. Experience with STM32, Nordic, or similar microcontrollers and wireless modules. Familiarity with Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Zigbee, LoRa, or other ISM-band wireless technologies. Familiarity with CAN, USB, Ethernet, I²C, SPI, UART, RS-232, or RS-485. Experience with EMC/EMI, product compliance, DFM, DFT, and manufacturing release processes. Experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, environmental testing, or other electronics test equipment. Exposure to power-electronics products, including converters, motor drives, power supplies, battery systems, or high-current designs. Client-facing product-development or consulting experience.
