You will be responsible for the designs solutions that support the Organization. As an Engineer, you will work with a diverse work force responsible for the development, design, fabrication, test, and delivery of MGSE.

Job responsibilities include:

• Independently develop mechanical design solutions of varying complexity using solid models, detailed drawings, and release of engineering work products.
• Review requirements from various sources (stress, dynamics, systems, thermal, manufacturing, etc.) to ensure that applicable requirements are flowed into the detailed design of assigned products.
• Collaborate with program leadership, domain experts, peers, configuration management, and manufacturing to ensure program requirements and schedules are met.
• Contribute to the completion of Program achievements by the release of accurate, error-free, affordable and producible engineering designs.
• Supports production meetings and manufacturing and test anomaly / discrepancy resolution
• Provides weekly / monthly status and regularly present to peers / leadership.

The ideal candidate will have good communications skills (both oral and written) and a strong background in Mechanical Engineering processes. A willingness to travel is required, less than 5%. Applies research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems, instruments, controls, engines, and/or machines. ## Long Description ## Basic Qualifications Qualified candidate will have or be able to:

• Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years or more of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree. Considered career, or journey, level.
• Demonstrated understanding of mechanical engineering fundamentals including structures, mechanisms, materials and analysis.
• Mechanical design and/or manufacturing experience that includes the use of interpretation of engineering design drawings.
• Familiarity with engineering CAD tools (Creo, I-DEAS, etc.) and model based product definition.
• Candidate must have the ability to work in an environment with evolving requirements and dynamic schedules.
• Candidate must have strong oral, written, and presentation communication skills, and have the ability to interact effectively and build effective relationships with customers. ## Desired Skills Desirable candidate will have or be able to:
• Experience working with teams on cross-level projects/multidisciplinary product development teams.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain strong internal customer relationships.
• Manufacturing and ATLO experience.
• Working knowledge of industry standards and federal regulations including ANSI, OSHA, and AWS standards applicable to mechanical and structural systems.

Experience should include a working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) and

ASME Y14.5.

• Working Knowledge of EPDM.
• Knowledge of LM Space command media.
• Experience working on NASA and NOAA space vehicle programs
• Experience working with Mechanical Ground Support Equipment (MGSE) for space vehicles.

Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice

Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range:

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
