Mechanical Design Engineer (Medical Devices)
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer who enjoys taking products from concept through development while working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Responsibilities Design and develop complex handheld medical devices and assemblies using SolidWorks. Create and modify 3D models, detailed drawings, and engineering documentation. Design plastic and metal components for medical device applications. Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) principles to ensure efficient and cost-effective production. Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the product development process. Participate in design reviews, prototype evaluations, and design iterations. Support product development activities from concept through design refinement. Qualifications 3-5+ years of mechanical design engineering experience. Strong proficiency with SolidWorks. Experience designing small medical devices and related components, including plastics, metals, and precision assemblies. Hands-on product design experience with the ability to independently create and develop designs. Strong understanding of Design for Manufacturing (DFM). Experience working with complex assemblies and electromechanical products is highly preferred. Self-starter with a high energy level and strong sense of ownership. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Preferred Experience Handheld medical devices. Injection molded plastic part design. Prototype development and testing. Medical device product development environment.
