Scope:

This position is responsible to research and implement automation ideas and improvements to the production floor. The engineer will need to understand the equipment and process for each work area on the production floor. Improvements will need to be identified and implemented in a timely manner. The engineer will also be responsible to research, maintain, and operate the 3D printers. Position reports to the Engineer Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Work closely with other members of engineering team to design / develop and implement 3D printed tooling

3D Mechanical Design of fixtures, grippers, tooling, brackets, etc. for robotic solutions

Selection of components, materials, etc.

Proficient Mechanical Design for Automated machines, including fixtures, grippers, tooling.

Ability to interpret customer documentation (blueprints, drawings, specifications, bills of material).

Ability to pass eye exam with a minimum 20/20 vision that may be corrected via eyeglasses or contact lenses as required. Eye exam is required annually.

Demonstrated ability to work with production floor associates.

Demonstrated ability to work directly with customers.

Demonstrated ability to utilize TTM Praxa system for all Engineering tasks.

Proficient in the use of Adobe, MS Excel, MS Word, MS Access, Solidworks

Robust troubleshooting and problem solving skills.

Ability to work effectively with little supervision.

U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (due to ITAR regulations)

Education:

BSME with experience in robotics and/or automation and 3D printing preferred or a Technical degree and 5+ years engineering/technical related experience in robotics / automation / 3D Printing.

Preferred Experience:

Experience with conveyor systems and electronics manufacturing is a plus.

Experience Dealing with suppliers and customer

Project Management experience is a plus.

Compensation for roles at TTM Technologies varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, TTM provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in York, California and Colorado. For California-based roles, compensation ranges are based upon specific physical locations.

Must comply with TTM Export Control Policies and Procedures and all applicable laws including ITAR, EAR and OFAC including but not limited to: a) being able to identify ITAR product on the manufacturing floor and understand that access to these products and related technical data is restricted to only US Citizens and US Permanent Residents; b) recognition ofForeign Person visitors by badge differentiation; c) understand and follow authorization procedures for bringing foreign visitors into facilities (VAL); d) understand the Export and ITAR requirements for shipments leaving the US; e) manage vendor approvals for ITAR manufacturing and services.
