Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and refine mechanical systems, assemblies, components, and enclosures for new and existing wellness products. Create and maintain accurate 3D models, assemblies, drawings, and bills of materials in SolidWorks. Build, modify, and evaluate prototypes using hands-on fabrication, assembly, and troubleshooting skills. Plan and execute engineering tests to evaluate functionality, performance, durability, safety, reliability, and user experience. Conduct root-cause and failure analysis; document findings and implement practical corrective design solutions. Perform engineering calculations, tolerance analysis, design reviews, and material and component selection. Partner with electrical engineering, manufacturing, quality, sourcing, service, and product stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle. Design for manufacturability, assembly, serviceability, cost, and repeatable production. Support pilot builds, design verification, product validation, production launch, and post-launch product improvements. Develop and maintain clear engineering documentation, including specifications, test plans, test reports, revision records, and design-change documentation. Work with suppliers and internal teams to evaluate components, resolve technical issues, and improve product quality. Contribute ideas and technical insight during concept development, design reviews, and continuous-improvement initiatives. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Professional mechanical engineering or product-development experience, preferably in an R&D or new-product-development environment. Strong to expert-level SolidWorks experience, including 3D part and assembly modeling and production-ready engineering drawings. Demonstrated experience taking a product or mechanical system from concept through prototype, testing, iteration, and release. Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to work hands-on with tools, prototypes, test equipment, and product assemblies. Sound analytical and problem-solving skills, including experience diagnosing complex mechanical or product-performance issues. Working knowledge of engineering materials, manufacturing processes, tolerances, and design for manufacturability and assembly. Ability to organize priorities, manage multiple projects, and work independently while collaborating effectively across teams. Clear written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience designing products that integrate mechanical components with plastics, metals, electronics, controls, pumps, valves, thermal systems, or other electromechanical elements. Experience with rapid prototyping, machining, fabrication, 3D printing, or laboratory test methods. Familiarity with finite element analysis, tolerance stack-ups, risk analysis, verification and validation, or formal product-development processes. Experience supporting products designed for frequent public or commercial use. Experience working with suppliers, contract manufacturers, or domestic production teams. What Success Looks Like High-quality designs that meet performance, reliability, cost, manufacturability, and serviceability goals. Well-planned prototypes and tests that produce clear, actionable engineering decisions. Timely resolution of design and field issues through disciplined root-cause analysis. Accurate, complete engineering documentation that supports smooth handoff to manufacturing and service teams. Constructive collaboration and ownership from early concept through launch and continuous improvement.
