Job Description:
Mechanical Engineer III We are looking for a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our growing team. This Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for managing a team of engineers on the designing, developing, prototyping, and testing mechanical systems and components while working closely with manufacturing and other cross-functional teams to continually improve the quality of the product and the efficiency of the manufacturing processes, with a primary focus on the applications into a specific industry.
Responsibilities:
Design and develop mechanical systems and components in accordance with project requirements. Conduct feasibility studies and analyze technical specifications to determine project feasibility. Create 3D models and perform analyzes of complex systems using SolidWorks. Create detailed and assembly drawings and schematics using SolidWorks. Perform calculations and simulations to validate design concepts. Prototype and test mechanical systems to evaluate performance and reliability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integration of mechanical components with other systems. Prepare and manage project schedules. Communicate with customers and end users to ensure all needs are met. Provide technical support during the manufacturing and assembly process. Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to ensure product safety and compliance with regulations. Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in mechanical engineering technology. Participate in design reviews and provide feedback to improve product designs. Support manufacturing to ensure that products are manufactured per the design. Recommend engineering and manufacturing changes to the design when quality issues occur. Support manufacturing for continuous improvement activities, new product introductions, and testing. Support manufacturing for the design of tooling and fixtures needed to manufacture and test the product. Review manufacturing processes to ensure engineering designs are met. Quality assurance and control. Prepare and conduct testing programs for the validation of the product. Prepare in process and final inspections documentation. Bill of materials - maintaining and restructuring. Conduct root-cause analysis and recommend corrective and preventive actions. Recommend changes to the design to reduce the cost of manufacturing. Review the preliminary designs for manufacturability. Completion of miscellaneous duties and projects as directed by your supervisor/manager/team leader. Apply and utilize engineering best practices for efficiency and quality. Manage a team of engineers, focusing on the applications of Eco's technology into specific industries.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineer. 7+ years of experience in mechanical engineering roles. Knowledge of the wastewater treatment industry and the construction of wastewater treatment equipment including piping and pumping systems is a plus. Proficiency in SolidWorks. Proficiency in MS Office. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Knowledge of manufacturing processes and materials. Hands on to troubleshoot and repair any tooling/equipment/product.
