POSITION CONCEPT
We have an opening for a Senior Mechanical Engineer with minimum 8 years experience in HVAC design.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Plans, schedules, conducts or coordinates detailed phases of the engineering work to meet project deadlines. Assignments usually include one or more of the following: Project design, preparation of specifications, studies, investigations, report preparation, and other activities requiring knowledge of principles and techniques commonly employed in the construction industry. Compares final design for compliance with contract documents. Plans design tasks so both design and construction will be achieved within budget constraints. Directs the activities of drafters and designers, insuring that all design tasks are performed correctly and timely, without unnecessary or duplicative effort. Makes independent design decisions with good judgment and competence. Coordinates projects with vendors, contractors, owners and code officials. Performs cost estimates, engineering calculations, code reviews, shop drawing reviews, application for payment reviews, change order reviews. Performs additional duties as requested or assigned by management.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Required B.S. in mechanical engineering. Minimum 8 years experience in HVAC design. PE License Preferred Plumbing and/or Fire Protection experience is a plus. AutoCad and Revit experience is a plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time, ability to perform field inspections, climb ladders, and access unfinished job sites. Salary shall be commensurate with experience. Please send resume (in PDF format) and contact information via email.
