Manufacturing ManagerPURPOSE OF POSITION
The Machine and Fixture Design Engineer is responsible for developing, coordinating, and maintaining manufacturing tooling, fixtures, and equipment designs that improve safety, quality, productivity, and ergonomics across PPI manufacturing facilities. This role serves as the primary coordinator for fixture and tooling development by working with manufacturing, engineering, maintenance, and external design resources to transform manufacturing needs into standardized, documented, and sustainable solutions.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned. More specifically, the employee owner will: Develop concepts for manufacturing fixtures, tooling, work-holding devices, lifting devices, gauges, and equipment improvements that enhance safety, quality, productivity, and ergonomics. Coordinate internal stakeholders and external design resources to develop, review, and implement tooling and fixture designs that meet manufacturing requirements. Facilitate cross-functional design reviews and project meetings with Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering to ensure alignment and successful execution. Develop and maintain tooling and fixture standards, including CAD libraries, bills of material (BOMs), file structures, revision control, and design documentation. Coordinate prototype fabrication, testing, validation, implementation, and continuous improvement of tooling and fixture solutions. Support capital equipment and manufacturing improvement projects by developing tooling requirements, coordinating procurement, and assisting with implementation activities. Manage tooling and fixture project schedules, communicate project status, and coordinate activities to achieve project objectives and timelines. Train and support manufacturing personnel in the proper use, maintenance, and continuous improvement of tooling, fixtures, and related equipment.QUALIFICATIONS

- EXPERIENCE
- COMPUTER SKILLS Associate or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering Technology, Mechanical Design, Drafting, or related technical field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
