Sterling Engineering is partnering with an innovative client specializing in advanced battery technology. This growing organization is expanding its engineering team and offering multiple opportunities for hands-on professionals passionate about next-generation energy solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Execute and refine testing and validation processes for custom energy systems including batteries, chargers, and power management products. Collaborate cross-functionally to develop and optimize prototypes, ensuring performance and reliability standards are met. Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, reports, and test records. Assist in the design and assembly of components and sub-systems to support ongoing development programs. Develop and update manufacturing and assembly procedures, ensuring alignment with quality and production goals. Perform root-cause analysis, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical and electronic components. Manage and maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and ensure accurate configuration control. Participate in product verification, ensuring designs comply with all technical requirements and specifications. Use CAD tools for schematic capture and PCB layout to support product design and testing efforts. Stay informed on emerging technologies by attending workshops, reviewing technical literature, and networking with industry professionals. Support additional engineering activities as needed to meet team and project objectives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology, or a related discipline preferred; equivalent combination of education and 3+ years of hands-on testing experience will be considered. Strong understanding of electronic circuits, devices, and testing methodologies. Proficiency with standard electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power analyzers, etc.). Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude and attention to detail.
