Job Description

Mechanical Engineer Full Time, Exempt - IMMEDIATE OPENING Day Shift Pay based upon experience, but potentially higher with extensive experience in Mechanical Engineering field.

Responsibilities & Tasks:
Perform a full lifecycle product development (design, develop, test prototypes, manufacture and implement) Develops both custom and standard product lines and streamlines the process for future similar orders. Evaluates mechanical and electromechanical systems and products by designing and applying principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, and materials. Occasional travel for preliminary quote development, spec. reviews, or field commissioning and testing. Assist in estimate budget and scope of project for building quotes for customers Develops mechanical and electromechanical products by studying customer requirements; researching and testing manufacturing and assembly methods and materials; soliciting observations from operators. Assures system and product quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and system capabilities; confirming fabrication, assembly, and installation processes. Prepares product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. Provides engineering information by answering questions and requests. Maintains product and company reputation by complying with government regulations. Completes projects by training and guiding technicians. Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Job Qualifications:
Familiarity with 2D or 3D engineering design and manufacturing tools (e.g., AutoCAD, ProE or other) Solid understanding of core concepts including mechanics, kinematics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, materials science etc. Must have the ability to utilize their design skills to analyze customer requirements on new and existing equipment Present technical information, designs and ideas to customers via email, telephone, and in person Must be able to work with the engineering team as a whole to complete projects in a safe and timely manner Must be able stand, walk and use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls. The employee frequently is required to talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch or craw. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities are required by this job included close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Licensed PE is a plus but not required) / 5+ years' experience in similar field/role. Must successfully pass all pre-employment onboarding requirements.
