Randstad USA is seeking an experienced Tooling Manager for a direct hire opportunity supporting a high-volume injection molding operation in Hanover Park, IL. This leadership role oversees tooling engineers, toolmakers, and technicians while driving mold reliability, tooling optimization, preventative maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives. Ideal candidates will have strong experience in injection molding tooling, mold repair/maintenance, CAD systems, and tooling leadership within regulated manufacturing environments. ️Qualifications & Skills:
Minimum:
Bachelor s degree in Engineering or related field 5+ years of tooling maintenance experience in an injection molding environment 2+ years of tooling leadership or supervisory experience strong understanding of injection molds, tooling repair, and preventive maintenance Experience with root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives strong communication and project management skillsPreferred:
Experience with 2D/3D CAD systems (ProE preferred) Knowledge of polymer materials and injection molding processes Experience in ISO13485 or cGMP manufacturing environments Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, DOE, and statistical process improvement Experience using MS Project, asset management systems, and tooling documentation controlsWork Environment & Physical Requirements:
High-volume manufacturing and tooling environment Frequent collaboration with engineering, maintenance, and production teams Exposure to industrial equipment, tooling systems, and manufacturing operations Fast-paced environment requiring strong multitasking and organizational skillsCompensation & Benefits:
