full-time Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Foundry Design Tooling Engineer to support the design, development, and optimization of foundry tooling for complex casting applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in foundry processes, tooling design, and CAD modeling, with the ability to analyze and resolve casting defects while ensuring manufacturable and high-quality tooling designs. Key Responsibilities Design and develop foundry tooling, including patterns, core boxes, and related tooling for casting applications. Prepare tooling quotations and provide technical support for tooling development. Analyze casting scrap and defects, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions. Develop tooling layouts considering parting lines (P/L), offsets, clearances, and tool build requirements . Create and modify 3D models using Creo . Perform casting flow simulation and solidification analysis using SolidCast to optimize tooling and casting performance. Support tooling validation, process improvements, and manufacturing readiness. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, manufacturing, and quality engineering. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Experience as a Foundry Engineer with strong knowledge of foundry operations and tooling. Hands-on experience with tooling quotations , casting scrap/defect analysis , and corrective action implementation. Strong understanding of no-bake and cold box foundry processes. Experience designing patterns, core boxes, and complex foundry tooling . Proficiency in Creo for 3D modeling. Experience with SolidCast for casting flow and solidification simulation. Strong knowledge of foundry tooling principles, including parting lines, offsets, clearances, and tooling layouts . Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
