U.S. Citizenship required due to ITAR restrictions Overview Cyient is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support the design, development, integration, and sustainment of advanced aerospace test equipment within the Mechanical Power Conversion (MPC) domain. This role will focus on electrical system design, control panel development, data acquisition systems, and NI LabVIEW software programming for production, R&D, and qualification test environments supporting both military and commercial aerospace applications. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in electrical controls, automation, and LabVIEW development, along with the ability to work in a fast-paced engineering environment supporting highly technical aerospace programs. Key Responsibilities Design and develop electrical control systems for aerospace test cells, test stands, and automated test equipment. Create control panel layouts, power distribution systems, and electrical schematics for new and existing test systems. Develop, program, integrate, validate, and troubleshoot NI LabVIEW applications, including Windows, Real-Time (RT), and FPGA platforms. Support data acquisition hardware and software integration for aerospace testing applications. Generate and maintain detailed engineering documentation, including: Electrical schematics Wiring diagrams Bills of material (BOMs) Equipment specifications Test procedures Support test equipment utilized for: Production testing Engineering development Qualification and validation testing Interface with cross-functional engineering teams including mechanical, systems, manufacturing, and test engineers. Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, instrumentation, and automation-related issues within test environments. Ensure deliverables meet technical, quality, schedule, and budget requirements. Provide project updates, technical reports, and status communication to engineering leadership and program stakeholders. Required Qualifications U.S. Citizenship required. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related engineering discipline. Experience designing electrical control panels and power distribution systems for industrial or test equipment applications.
Hands-on experience with:
24VDC and 120VAC control systems Motors and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) Load control centers Signal conditioning equipment Experience programming and developing applications using NI LabVIEW, including: Windows Real-Time (RT) FPGA Experience using AutoCAD Electrical for schematic and electrical drawing development. Knowledge of hydraulic system instrumentation and controls, including: Valves Transducers Flow meters Pumps Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Preferred Qualifications Intermediate or advanced proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical. Experience with panel layout design and electrical component selection. NI LabVIEW Certified Developer (CLD) certification preferred. Experience with automation systems and industrial controls. Familiarity with hazardous location design requirements. Experience developing project estimates, schedules, and technical documentation for test equipment programs. Aerospace or defense industry experience strongly preferred. Familiarity with aerospace qualification and validation testing environments. Why Join Cyient? Pay:
$80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
