Job Description

Design the machines others only dream of—bring your SolidWorks expertise and engineering creativity to life in a hands-on, high-precision manufacturing environment. We are a specialized automated machinery and stamping die builder seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer with experience in automation, stamping dies, and custom machinery. Our projects are unique, non-repetitive, and high-quality, and we take pride in delivering exceptional craftsmanship and precision. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will design and develop custom automated equipment, tooling, and stamping dies, collaborating closely with our skilled tool and die makers to turn concepts into manufacturable solutions. Key Responsibilities Design custom automated machinery, stamping dies, presses, and tooling unique to each client under general guidance. Create 2D and 3D CAD models, assemblies, and detailed production drawings using SolidWorks; Logopress experience is a plus. Prepare assembly drawings, layouts, bills of materials, cut lists, and CAM data for manufacturing. Interpret technical documentation, vendor drawings, and customer specifications to ensure accuracy, manufacturability, and compliance. Collaborate with tool & die makers, machinists, and production teams to identify optimal methods for components and assemblies. Utilize ERP systems to manage project data, materials, and production workflows Revise and improve existing designs; troubleshoot production and manufacturing issues. Maintain and improve quality standards, engineering documentation, and drawing accuracy. Support continuous improvement initiatives and suggest innovative solutions for complex engineering challenges. Required Skills & Qualifications Proven experience in mechanical design, automation, and stamping die engineering. Expert in SolidWorks 3D CAD; Logopress experience is highly desirable. Strong proficiency in 2D CAD (AutoCAD) and producing detailed manufacturing drawings. Experience with tooling design, press machinery, fabrication, and assembly processes. Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills. Hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment; comfortable collaborating with shop floor personnel. Must be eligible to work permanently in the U.S. Education & Experience 20+ years of relevant experience Associate or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related discipline. Pay:
$90,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
