Job Description

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Electric Motor Manager to lead our electric motor engineering team. This pivotal role involves overseeing the design, development, testing, and manufacturing of advanced electric motors used in a variety of industrial applications. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of electrical and mechanical engineering principles, with expertise in system integration, PCB design, FPGA programming, and automation systems. As a leader in this role, you will drive project success through strategic planning, technical excellence, and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams. Your contributions will directly influence the efficiency, reliability, and innovation of our electric motor solutions. Duties Lead a team of multiple workers to ensure efficiency and productivity. Manage project scheduling to ensure timely delivery of engineering milestones while coordinating cross-functional teams including manufacturing and quality assurance. Conduct root cause analysis on motor failures or performance issues utilizing tools. Disassemble and inspect electric motors, stators, armatures, rotors, and related components as needed. Install coils into stators, armatures, and other electrical components. Lead troubleshooting efforts for complex electrical systems by analyzing schematics and employing diagnostic tools. Collaborate with system engineers to integrate communications systems expertise into motor control architectures. Inspect windings and electrical components for damage, wear, contamination, or other defects. Ensure all engineering activities adhere to safety standards while promoting best practices. Qualifications Extensive experience practicing in an industrial or manufacturing engineering environment focused on electrical systems or motor design. Strong knowledge of control systems including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), ARM processors, Arduino platforms, and firmware development. Hands-on experience with electronics design, especially with electric motors both AC and DC Expertise in signal processing, system verification methods, engineering troubleshooting techniques, and automation processes. Ability to manage project schedules effectively while coordinating multiple tasks across engineering disciplines. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing specialists and quality engineers. Mechanical knowledge related to motor assembly processes and mechanical engineering principles is advantageous.
